Dallas–Fort Worth (Oncor) and Houston (CenterPoint) — the two largest deregulated markets in Texas, but not the whole state. Austin, San Antonio and other municipal or co-op areas cannot choose a provider, so there is nothing to compare.

No. We do not accept payment from providers to rank or feature a plan, the links we give you carry no affiliate tracking, and we will tell you to stay on your current plan when that is the cheaper answer. You enroll directly with the provider; we never enroll on your behalf.
Because the best available plan did not beat your current one. The verdict page shows the exact dollar difference. If you are mid-contract, the early-termination fee makes the case for staying even stronger.
It depends entirely on your usage, your current rate, and what is available in your market — so we do not publish an average. Your result gives a figure specific to your bill.
Yes. PDF, JPG, and PNG up to 10 MB. Any page that shows your monthly kWh and your rate works — make sure the numbers are in focus. A PDF from your provider's website reads most reliably.
